Mouthless ricordia

One of my ricordia had 2 mouths, and it had both last night...as of now there is a hole where they used to be!!! Its still bright and open and other than the mouth problem it looks like the other two I have. Any ideas?? Ill get a pic up soon.

Mine have never lost their mouth before.....that's strange!

I just looked back in there, and its got 2 again..I dunno what happened. Weird I guess.

I have never seen that be for. It looks like you need to feed them.

Check out the Corallimorpharians forum. Someone over there might be able to tell you what's going on.... you could if your feeling daring, try to get the one with two mouths to split and then you would have an extra Ric.

Christine, they frag real easy. I have ripped rock off that had them attached and inadvertanly fragged them that way. I have also used the razor method. GARF tells how to frag them.

Personally I just let them divide themselves. I don't see the need to cut them in half unless you have a coral farm and are wanting more production.
It will naturally happen, nobody frags them in the ocean right?

ya Im just gonna leave them alone...the one next to it is also growing a second mouth. Im too chicken anyway. I am workin up the guts to start seperating some of my zoos that are going crazy! Still new, thanx for all the helpfull advice. Hoping to make it to the meeting this month.
