Moving a BTA

I just bought a BTA from my LFS. He/she has elected to set up shop on the back of the tank, where it can not be seen. I dont want to try to move it by hand, I want to encourage it to move on its own. My thought was to block the light to that section of live rock making it shady and not such a great local. Any suggestions?

You can try that, and it might work for a while. Chances are though that if it wants to be there in the back(b/c of flow or lighting of whatever have you) that it will move back there if it prefers it.

Give it a few days, the anemone may be adjusting to light changes and flow between the LFS and your tank. What lighting are u running and what was it kept under in the store?

T-5 for lighting in both occasions, but mine is mush higher that what the store had as far as wattage. It has also positioned itself about 5" from a powerhead, for some reason.

Id leave it alone if you plan on or do have other things. As if you upset it it will go all over the tank hurting other livestock. Leave him, or move the rock so you can see it.

let him do his own thing if you want to be able to see it point extra flow where it is..and it should move......
