hey everyone,

A good friend of mine is moving to Florida and decided to give me his 125 gallon tank....SCORE!!! Here's the problem/confusion I have, first....I have to built a stand/ canopy for the tank which will take some time. I just dismantled my 55 gallon brackish tank and are going to convert it into a sump/ Refugium for the 125.

I belive he has a trigger and a few other fish in the tank plus alot of live sand/live rock....How can/should I keep everything alive while I get the stand/canopy built.

ALL ADVICE / HELP IS WELCOME....AND THANKS IN ADVANCE

EJ

set up the 55 as salt and after setting up the 125 move the 55 in as the sump.
if you don't have room for the lr you can get a rubbermaid tub to put it in. just get a powerful powerhead and a heater and it will be ok for awhile. just like "cooking" it.

here's the thing thou,

the 55 gal is getting dropped off today to covert it to sump/ref.
The 125 tank is not drilled either, when i get it it will also be dropped of to drill the back for drains/ returns.

If the tank is already functional, it'd be a shame to drain it to drill it. You could easily just get an overflow box and set the plumbing that way, just a thought.
