Moving a tank.

Hello I'm sure what I want to do is not ideal but I'd like to get some opinions from experienced reefers. I am moving a 160 gallon tank that I bought, I have a 90 gallon that was going to be my build but I came across a deal I couldn't pass up, anyway I am thinking about adding water to the 90 gallon (maybe 50 or 60 gallons) and leave it bare bottom and moving the livestock and some live rock into it and just have a circulating pump moving the water around. It'll probably take me two days to get the tank moved, set up and filled with water. Do you think the live rock and fish (a pair of clowns, a blue tang, a wrasse, two shrimp, some snails and crabs) will be okay that way? I'm moving the tank about a mile so travel won't be a problem, thoughts?

Assuming you keep the rock wet during transport to prevent die-off your plan should work. Have plenty of pre-made pre-heated saltwater on hand for the transfer, once the water from the existing tank starts to look murky from stirred up detritus you dont want to reuse that water.
