I bought a condy for my clarkii and decided that I would just drop it into the tank and let it find a good place. Well, anemone landed and decided that was as good a place as any. The only problem is that he is on the back side of a rock through a rock tunnel and it makes it pretty hard to feed him. It eats whenever fed but I would rather see both the clarkii and anemone instead of just a profile.
This is what I have been doing. I have a minijet 606 that I placed on the glass and have been blowing it at the anemones foot. It only moves just out of the current and then stays there. I have been slowly moving him an inch at a time and almost have him on the otherside of the tunnel.
This process has been going on for two days. I am on the third day and haven't fed him since since I started. How long should I keep this up, without overstressing the anemone? It doesn't shrivel up, it just moves and hangs out.
My other condy that also hosts a clarkii likes it just fine where I placed it, so they don't move around the tank looking for a better spot.
