moving and starting up a 75g

malnurs

right now i have a 20 with a toadstool, xenia, zoa/palys, mushrooms and some purple gorgonians. 2 green chromis and ocellaris.

what are some good ideas for livestock once i get my tank up and running? and will 4-T5s be enough for just softies?

Thanks,
Chris

T-5's should be more than enough.
I've had my 75g up for over five years, and until just recently it only had 6 regular T-12 fluorescent bulbs. I've got lots of softies, several LPS and even a couple of SPS (montipora sp.).
Right now my fish stock list is as follows:
Yellow Tang
Brazilian Gramma
Flame Angel
Flame Cardinal
2 Ocellaris clowns

Personally, I like fish with lots of color. Also, I've found that the more different your fish are from one another, the fewer problems there will be with aggression between them.
FWIW,

Didn't you have a chalk basslet?

Uh Oh - Looks like I accidentally hijacked another thread.

Ha Ha! Accidently indeed!
The chalk bass was in the 40g. Lost him about a year ago to a case of popeye.
You wouldn't have any actual helpful suggestions for malnurs' stocking list would you?

I'm not a fan of cardinals. They kinda remind me of plastic fish on a string. If it were me I'd swap it out for a foxface. Those guys have quite an appetite for algae and they actually move.

hahaha. Thanks guys for the direction and a few laughs along with it. i will be posting again with updates when i get it set up starting sometime next week hopefully!!!
