Moving day is near

Well I think I have all my duckies in a row. I have read every post on every site about moving tanks. I have battery powered air stones. I have containers from the lfs. I have lots of 5 gal buckets. I will be taking all the water as well as some new mixed up and ready to go. We are moving two hrs away. Not much, but after all this planning I am now freaking out just a little.
I have 5 tanks to move and I really don't want to lose anything although I know there is a chance I will. Any advise, or suggestions (or offers of help) just kidding. lol:
I was going to try to do all of them over one weekend but I think that will be bad with stuff being in buckets too long. So I'm taking my smallest ones first and working my way up. My husband knows nothing about saltwater so he will end up as grunt worker, he is sooo excited.:rolleye1: I have about 2 to 3 weekends to accomplish this so atleast it's not a one day job. The exodus starts this weekend so send me good karma please.

Its not too hard. I moved from Akron to Boston and back and I didn't lose anything. Just make sure you don't kill the fish. :P

Good luck with everything! Seems like you got a good plan, so just relax and follow your plans. Sending you some good Karma!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So SC I see, yeah, I just moved to Clemson from Virginia (7 Hours and you can see my my info duh...=P...) and all I lost were most of my SPS except 1 but all my fish, and softies were fine. I have moved plenty of times in the past and this was the longest and the roughest. My final suggestion is to drill an air release hole in the bucket lids if you are transporting livestock and using an air pump. One of my air holes got cloged and nearly blew off the lid and put alot of stress on the pump. I guess since you are moving graudually, it will be a lot easier than my 'all in a day' move. Lets see, and sorry it I am rambling im trying to remember everything from my move. Clean the glass tanks so any die-off from them transported dry. Buy and extra glass tank, I have broken a tank 2 out of the 4 times I have moved and it is always the wierdest ways. I bagged up all my sand and stored it wet in a cooler to keep the little critters from dying off and causing a spike.
Finally, keep an eye out onthe tank especially around day three after the move, thats when my system(sps) crashed. Oh, I also had bag buddies on hand just in case the pumps failed or something... and add some Prime conditioner to help prevent amonnia build up.

Once again, all the luck to the world to you!!!!!!!!
