Moving Live Sand.

i know this is probably a bad idea but i have a 75 that is up and running now and i have a 29 that used to be my display tank prior to the 75. i am making the 29 a frag/qt tank. my sand has so many pods and stars in it i hate to get rid of it. about 2 months ago i moved and had to move the 29 as well, i totally stirred up the sand bed due to the move and had no ill effects. the tank was up for a year and a half prior to the move. there is only about 5-10 lbs top in there but like i said hate to just kill it as i want a BB in the frag/qt tank. if i put it in the sump for the 29 is it the same risk as moving it to the 75 sump?

I am not a fan of sand or other animals in sumps...sand just mucks up the equipment and causes detritus to collect...just start another tank and call it good.
