moving pop xenia

Ive got some pom pom xenia that is really healthy and it is growing towards my hammer coral...I want to move the one closest to the hammer somewhere diff.....Ive heard people using a razor blade and cutting it at the base where it is connected to the rock...is this what I should do...and if so how do I place it somewhere else?

thats supposed to say pom pom xenia...guess I was in too big of a hurry..never heard of a pop xenia

cant you just rotate/move the rock it is on?

its attached to big rocks as well as the small rock it came one
