Hi,

I am losing the GSP battle badly.

I have one large piece of live rock that has about 5 nice rics on it and 3 or 4 mushrooms. They are 90% of the coral life left in my tank besides the GSP. I need to get them off the live rock ASAP and be rid of this demon coral.

I have not fragged or anything like that ever. I don't have any special fragging tools, just regular houselhold stuff. How can I move them inexpensively, if possible. More importantly with the most likelyhood of them surving.

Thanks all

Your best bet is to remove the rock from the tank they're on and chisel off a small piece of rock around the base of the ric or mushroom you'd like to remove. All it takes is a flat head screw driver of some weight and a hammer.

hmm, i could probably mail you a dry piece of my rock with gsp on it and it would thrive in your tank. GSP = suck

Easy solution. Leave the shrooms in the tank go buy new liverock and put it in the tank and take all the GSP rock out of the tank. Put the GSP rock in a tub with regular tapwater and a powerhead. You will need to change the water twice a week for the first two weeks. Once the rock is completely void of all salt life. Fill the tub with saltwater and cook it for another two weeks changing the water twice a week. Once done put it in the tank piece by piece over time and let it seed. Sell it.
