MOVING SALE - Corals/Fish/Liverock/MH Lights

Max,

It was a pleasure meeting you. Thanks for the very nice colonies. Whoever picks up the Purple Bonsai can thank me for passing on it :). I already have one so I see no reason to buy another.

Good luck with your endeavors and stay in touch.

Jim

hmm.. If it's still there tomorrow I may be thanking you. :)

Jim, nice meeting you too. Good luck with the colonies.

As Jim said, purple bonzai is available, but I have already contacted the next person in line for it. I will post an update if it also falls through.

Most live rock I have are very large size. Instead of breaking them apart, I think they will be more useful for someone who needs large pieces of rock. There is a possibility that it might fall through. I will send an update.

For those of you who like zoos and mushrooms, you might like the following that I forgot about:

Pink center/mustard yellow rim zoo with green hairy mushroom rock - $40:

Green hairy mushroom rock (8-9" diameter, nice rock) - $60:

Another side shaded view of mushroom rock, as the fish are curious about what I am up to:

$90 for both zoo/mushroom rocks.

I moved the pink birdsnest to a new spot, under 20K 400W DE + 10K 250W DE + VHO:

OH MR. MAX :) You forgot one of the most important part's of your system, the extremely well thought out equipment room! I need pics! Or else I'll forget and in 6 months I won't be able to "borrow" your idea's :).
By the way, I was up until 2am last night arranging corals and rock in my tank, everything I picked up from you acclimated fine, and I thank you again. I am not done arranging yet (too much of a "box-of-rocks") look, but my wife came down and gave me a crazy look at around 1:30, so I figured I'd give it up for the night!

Thanks for reminding me Patrick. What good is a reef tank without essential gadgets?

I am sure your new corals will do very well in your reef. I will see you later this week for experimenting with the 400Ws in your Luminarcs...

Overall description of drains and returns:
- Two 2" drains, one draining into the refugium via two 1" restricted ball valves (only source of providing flow/water movement in the refugium), another going directly into sump 1st section
- Refugium overflow drains to sump below it (into 2nd section) via 1.5" pipe
- One 1.5" return to tank, part of it going through chiller via a T and ball valve (Borrowing idea from jdieck's setup)
- Return pump intake is 2", and feeds from 3rd section in the sump via a 90" fitting, no input restriction
- Skimmer pump intake is 2", feeds from 1st section in the sump via DIY strainer (basically a capped slotted 2" PVC pipe, thanks to my miter saw)
- Skimmer output drains to 1st section in the sump
- Batting material and sponge between the 2nd section and 3rd section (before the return), washed every two weeks and replaced monthly.

- All three sections in the sump have drain outputs with 1/2" ball valves and a master 3/4" ball valve (makes water change a breeze)

- 65G poly water tank for water changes, plumbed to the 3rd section in the sump via a ball valve.

I am sorry to hear that you have to take a break. Everything that I had received from you is doing wonderfully. Good Luck, and I hope the next tank is twice the size.

BTW, I don't see any of the urchins, but if the little round black, white, and orange one is still available, count me in.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott, nice to hear from you. Unfortunately that urchin has been reserved long ago and is not available.

Keep in touch.

Jim, it was probably busy when you were here. I usually give the tour of the basement equipment room. None of the gadgets are for sale, for now. Too much time and investment to undo it all. So, I'd rather leave everything as is for future use.

- Tomarrow twhen I come by to pick up the fish I'll also take:

1-1.5" frags of the blue/purple tip hairy acro - $15 each
- One 2" large frag of blue/purple tip hairy acro - $25
one- green digitata frags - $5 each
- One 3" neon green hydnopora frag (polyps day/night) - $15

do you think the blenny could be caught since you have a lot less in the tank?
John

oops sorry I didn't need the second one listed above. here is what I'll take instead. soory for my mis type

1-1.5" frags of the blue/purple tip hairy acro - $15 each
one- green digitata frags - $5 each
- One 3" neon green hydnopora frag (polyps day/night) - $15

CoralReef, yes.

John,

The rock is still in. The first sale fell through as two of the pieces are very large (20-22" diameter). I don't want to break them as they are relatively hard to come by.

Catching the blenny in the main tank will be impossible. To be honest, tang will be difficult as well... I caught the blenny in the refugium in about 2 seconds today (my record :) ) when FiberLux was here to pick it up. I think he was still sleeping when I turned the lights on...

The frags you asked for are available and I will hold them. You might need to pay another visit later if we cannot catch the fish with the rock in.

Max

By the pound, $4/pound.

Someone is going to check them out on Wednesday. If it falls through, there are couple others in line.

Anybody particularly interested in these pieces, please send me PM.
