Moving sale part2 (alameda)

Hello every one!
It has been a while since I have posted here, but after reading this thread, I think I should speak up.

Lynn27,
I know 100% how you feel because it has happened to me and I know that nothing I may write may make you feel better, so I am SO SORRY you didn't get your fish, but be sure that if any of the people reading this thread knows about one for sale, you will be the first one to know.

Having said the above, please allow me to explain a few things. This family is moving to the East Coast very soon. Try to picture a whole house full of cardboard boxes, plastic bags etc, etc, etc in prep. for the big move. Try to think about all the logistics involved in moving your whole family to the other end of the country. I pray to God I will never have to do it my self!
That is what this family is dealing with right now. I can assure you that what took place today was just a matter of miscomunication and not a lack of them keeping their word to you. In fact, I have never meet this people until today, unfortunately, because they are really good people.
I was the first one there today at their home, and I wanted to buy a lot of the live rock they had, but the answer I got, very polytely, was: "I would love to sell it to you because you are here and you wanted, but I gave my word to someone else, but if this person does not show or does not wanted, you are next in line"
I was there with cash on hand, but they kept their word until the person got there and got first pick. Sad for me because I really wanted all the Tonga branch rock, but it felt really good to see this couple keeping their word. The person who got it is a nice gentleman too.
At the same time that all of this was happening, several other people asked for the dragonette, but he kept saying that he was waiting for the person he had given his word to. I now know it was you. He only sold it to someone else whe he realized that you were not showing up and since he really cares about his animals, he had to let it go to a good home. Believe me, this was nothing but miscommunication. These people really know how to keep their word.
I hope this at least helps you understand what happened today. I do wish you well and will keep you in mind if I see a drag for sale.

To you Pianotips and your sweet wife, I wish you the very best in your future place and thank you!

Theyre in a rough place guys with a "shotgun" move if you will.. Take it easy on them there will always be another fish to come. :)

Piano- good luck with everything and feel free to call if you have questions
