it's been a little while since I posted last... a while back I posted how I was struggling to deal with the $400 electric bill, and many offered suggestions that def made a dif - thanks for that folks!

Now it looks like I'll be moving back to the midwest so... I'm afraid I'll be shutting her down altogether.

All corals must go first...

I bought this duncan as a three head frag at the LFS about a year ago for $40... not sure how many heads it has now... -$60

Similarly, I got this duncan as a three head frag from the same place... little more purple in it's color... -$60

This was one that I got a 1" frag from the frag meeting for $28... wow is this stuff hardy! It's got many branches and is somewhere in the 3-5" territory now! Blue Millipora -$50

Fairly large colony of Tri-Color Acropora. The pictures just don't do it justice: brilliant purple/blue/pink. -$45

Multi-coral rock... has decent sized piece of purple haze pictured in front... some tri color, some green acro, and some purple undata. $60

I'm still collecting equipment otherwise I would love one of the duncans. I just wanted to ask if you have any heat issues on your tank. I'm working on a 75gal and lighting has been giving me fits on what to get. I keep my house quite warm in the summer to save on cooling costs so, I have been leaning towards 4 bulb T5 and not stock SPS just LPS/zoa's.

i have a 250w mh and a 175w mh mounted with 8-9" of clearance above the tank... I have vents on either side and across the back... I keep it on a reverse cycle 9pm to 6am and have 2 4" fans blowing in and out... I keep my house at about 77degrees... my tank reg hits 84 when it's 120 out but avg is about 79. I go thru about 8gal a week in top off water.

no chiller, but note that my tank is placed away from outside walls and is very close to an ac vent.

Hmm... Plenty of people run T5's and have SPS corals. But, as far as heat. Cheap 12 volt computer fans work wonders and are very quiet.
