This is what I did and it worked flawlessy and smoothly.

I would start by getting a few big styrofoam boxes with lids and bags that will fit in them. Put a bag in each seperate styro, fill half way with tank water and place corals in inside it. Then tie up the bag to seal the water and contents in.
I would get some 5 gallon buckets fill with as much rock as you can and fill them halfway with tank water and seal the lids.
I would use as much water as you can from the old setup, since 25% will probably be trash from it getting nasty and being filled with detritus.
Use another 5 gallon bucket for the fish and another for all the inverts.

Get a few small power heads and maybe an extra heater after the move to keep the water oxygenated for the inverts/fish, as well as a heater for them. Do the same for the corals.

I did this and it was really easy to re assemble my tank after my move. I also swithched a heater to te liverock buckets every so often to keep the temp up.

Depending on how the sand looks and or how old it is and deep, you might be abkle to keep some of it if not all.
I replaced mine since the other stuff was 3 years old. I did take 6 to 7 big cupfulls of the old sand to help seed my new sand bed.

are you looking for help in actually moving it (not sure if I'm reading your post right )... your LFS will most likely help for a fee. Mine had quoted me 30 bucks an hour and they would do everything.... They estimated around 5 hours.

All that said - I've recently moved mine (from a 'near D') and did it with the help of some friends and a bunch of rubbermade tubs.. Worked fine. I just put the LR in a couple of them (with about 1" of water) and covered with trashbags and taped them around the top to seal the tub (no lids :( ) Same with the LS and corals. Ended up sticking the fish/hermits/snails/etc in a 5gal bucket with water.

The best peice of advise I can give is:
Plan to have your stuff living in the tubs for at least 3 days. This means buy air pumps/stones, heater, Powerheads, etc. to accomidate this. If everything goes perfect (not likely) you can have the tank back up quicker... but as with mine - leveling it was a bear and it took 4 days of PITA to get it straight/level/filled....

Best of luck,
John.

I had my tank full, running and everyone inside it after 12 hours, that time is from the time I tore the old setup down, drove 45 minutes to my new house and set everything back.

If you plan right you wont have to worry about holding the corals, fish in bins for days. Just make sure you have everyting you need so all you have to do is add tge water etc back to the new or old tank.
