Moving to Milwaukee...

I'm in the process of moving to Milwaukee. What places in the city or burbs do people recommend and who do I contact for m-ship info?

It depends where you are moving to in the city.
I live on the south side & like the Coral Corner in Racine.
Even better places south of the Wisconsin border.

ohh, I've been a little slow latley

our next meeting is the club cookout in August (on the north side of Milwaukee)
then we'll start our regular meeting in September

we should have our website up by then

and I'm only part of the 3-headed monster that is the leadership :rollface:

Mequon, huh?

i live in thiensville, which is a 1 mile sq town inside of Mequon.
JD lives in mequon as well, and we have another memebr in cedarburg.

Well I've never had my reputation preceed me before (at least in a good way!)

I'm also the past president of the Omaha Marine Society and am willing to help. I have some good friends that work at the zoo's aquarium that do seminar talks at MACNA ect. Don't know what types of events you have interest in, but I can perhaps lend a helping hand in that area.

Also do you have tank tours...that is checking each others tanks out on a monthly basis? I know this was always a highlight in our club.

Yeah, not when my display tank looks worse than your sump! j/k it sounds like you can really contribute quite a bit to the society (of which I'm not currently a member of 'cause I haven't gottena round to it :hmm5: .

well, we have monthly meetings, so that is our "tank Tour" schedule.

I ama member of WRS, and i suggest that JR joins now, and Tom joins when he moves here

Maybe when we get up there (still looking for a home right now) I'll contact a few of you and rap about things. I'd love to see what people's set ups look like and meet new friends. I'll be in touch. Any places up north for LFS? Where do the "northerners "of Milwaukee shop?
