Moving to new house, tank on top of carpeting??

My new house will have carpet and we don't plan on changing it for awhile. Is it okay to put the tank on top of the carpet? I'm sure the weight alone will sqush just about anything, but wanted some feedback

Never had a problem with my 90, just expect to have a permanent stand shaped rectangle pressed into the carpet! Seriously, it was still there 5 years after the tank was gone in my folks place (berber carpet I think).

Had a 55 on carpet for years and no problems.
