Moving to Stamford soon

I've normally hung out in the other CT reef area, but have not been on the forum as much for the past year. The tank is still doing well - went from one Cato-lineage RBTA to eight. Still only have two clowns though. LOL

I just signed a lease for a townhouse apartment in downtown Stamford. The Durham house has not yet sold, but I don't want to be in a spot looking for some place large enough for two, a dog, a cat, and our "stuff" on short notice. So we'll bite the bullet and run a shoestring budget until the house sells (anyone want to buy a house?? LOL).

At first, I thought that the tank (65G custom) would have to be torn down and sold, but the place we are getting is nearly the square footage of the house, just less bedrooms. So it looks like I might be able to put the tank in the LIVING ROOM! Of course, it means moving this beast. I have a "live rock / foam" back wall and corals on it. Might have to build a splash device for the 3-4 hours it will take to move the tank downstairs, drive it to Stamford, set it up, and get water back in. Ugh. "Hello, die-off."

Anyway, wanted to say hi and I look forward to meeting new reefers!

Welcome to the neighborhood - best of luck with the sale of your home and the move.

Look forward to seeing you at the next meeting!
