Well guys I got a place in Chesapeake and will be in town this Friday - Saturday packing up my stuff. I will be breaking the majority of the tank down on Saturday morning right before leaving. If anyone is free this Saturday morning I would love to have 2 or 3 people to help out. I am still debating what will be the best way to move the livestock. The temperature will be in the low 40s. I am thinking the tank/stand/equipment and rock will go in the moving truck. I will wrap the live rock trash cans (which will also be full of my tank water) with construction blankets (like we use on concrete) to keep the temperature up. I am just concerned about losing my shrimp and other critters/coral that won't come off the rocks. The rest of the livestock will be put in a pair of five gallon buckets in the cab of my pickup that will be following me. I can use a power inverter to put a small heater in each of these. I think this will be the best way to move it all. I figure between my cousin, me, and two other hands I can get the whole tank broken down and packed within an hour or two allowing me to get to Chesapeake at a reasonable point in the afternoon so I can get most of the moving in done in the daylight hours. Finally I want everyone to know I still plan to be involved with the SWVA Reef Club and will be visiting the area frequently with gifts! I am joining the Hampton Roads Reef Club and they apparently have never even heard of a free frag of the month so when I mentioned it, I got like 20 PMs. If anyone wants to meet up Friday night I am thinking after packing most of my stuff I will go downtown for a couple of beers.
