MP 40 Rattling

Hello ecotech nerds:

I have 4 MP40's 2 of which rattle like crazy.

Here is what I have done:

-Vinagar bath (disassembled both wetsides and cleaned with a soft brush)
-Verified alignment - When I align the wet side and dry side it stays quiet for about a day or so and then it starts to rattle again. sometimes only at the high speed and sometimes all the time.

Like I said I have 4 of these 2 are working without issue and I just cleaned them the same time as the other 2. Any ideas? I know you all would rather me call but I figured I would reach out here first.

These were produced last December so I know they are still in warranty.

Chris,

It sounds as though a wetside component could be misaligned. More specifically, check the white ceramic bearing that fits into the large round wet frame. If that piece is not flush with the surface of the wet frame you can experience noise/rattling.

I recently bought two brand new wet sides. Both of them rattled right out of the box. I had to replace those black plastic nuts holding the prop on the shaft. Ecotech, you may want to look at those and beef them up a bit. 10 by 32 nylon nut from Home Depot has fixed my problem. Yours are softer and strip easily and don't provide enough holding power

I had to do the same thing. Figured it wasn't worth making a fuss over. Just if I can get them to stop rattling.
