MP 60 Dry side falling off!!!

Someone please give some suggestions. I am having a terrible time getting my mp 60 to stay on the side of my 210 g. I have already replaced the dry side once after it fell and broke. When I recieved the replacement I installed a shelf about three inches under the dry side. This time when it fell off luckily the shelf saved it from being destroyed. The clips they provide to stick on the glass last no longer than 3 weeks. My tank glass is about 7/16 inch thick and I am using the thick spacer which is is what ecotech says to use up to 1/2 inch thick glass. Im wondering if i could change to the medium spacer or if anyone knows anything else I could do to fix this problem. It is very frustrating to have this awesome pump sitting on a shelf because i am unable to get it to stick to the tank like it is intended to do

Interesting that Ecotech chooses not to reply to my post. I guess when you dont know how to fix a true problem its best to just ignore it. Thanks Ecotech!

It's best to call them or shoot them an email directly. Public forum is probably the least reliable method of contact for them. I'd step down to the medium spacer and see how it works . When I was setting up the MP40s on my 200, I had to set my spacer to the thinnest setting to get them to stay put. All about what works best.

I think you could try using a thinner spacer, that may make the wet/dry sides stick together better. The cord holders are an absolute must for the MP60s since the dryside is so heavy. I've had mine fall off too. I use a drop of superglue gel on the cord holder to have them stick better. It works, and is easily scraped off my glass with a razor blade. Hope that helps.

You can definitely change the spacers to the thinner one. I would do that asap and still use the sticky pads.

I was just concerned about damaging or adding more wear to the motor by going to a thinner spacer than what ecotech reccomends. They say clearly in the instructions that it is critical to use the correct spacer. Thanks for the advice everyone

I've been using the MP60 on 12 mm glass without any issues. When you say 'clips', do you mean the hook that sticks to the glass and then the dryside goes over it? Mine has remained rock solid for over a year. Maybe you need to make sure the glass is clean and free of any grease before adhering the hook? Also, the cord is supposed to go up and be supported. Even if my clip were to fail, the dryside still couldn't fall off.

Ive had the same problem with two of them. The tank is 3/4" glass and neither would stay on with the correct spacer I had to use the 1" and adjust them several times in order to get them to stay. The funny thing is that my mp40's stay just like they should on the same tank.
