Mp10es Wet Side Shaft

I just removed and cleaned my wet side and some of the ceramic coating on the shaft had come off. There was about an eighth of an inch at the base nearest the glass where I could see the stainless steel. I reassembled the wet side and it felt smooth so I went ahead and reinstalled it. It might be a little loud now but it is hard to tell because they are always a bit louder when clean.

Is it okay to run until I get a replacement? Can that shaft be replaced? I could not remove it with what I thought was a reasonable amount of force. Is this a warrant-able item?

Thanks,
Chris

This same exact thing happen to mine! I would not recommend running the pump. If the ceramic coat has come off, the magnet/prop will not run true. Strange my pump would not even run when this happened to me............. I got a flashing red ring of light on the dial. Had to order a new wet side from EcoTech. No the shaft is not replaceable you will need a new wet side. You can give them a call and see if it can be replaced under warranty. Trust me, I would not run the pump with a broken shaft. This will most likely damage the motor and bearings on the dry side because of friction/vibration/drag..............then your really screwed.
