MP40 goes right to overheat mode

I have tried realigning the pump three or four times and it goes green, then white, spins for one second and then goes directly to the red/yellow flash. It is obviously not overheating. What else can I do?

Did the pump come like this out of the box or did this occur after use for some time? Either way I agree that something is wrong.

Right out of the box. I just spoke to Steve and it needs to be sent in. Now I'm going to get boned for another $20 bucks to ship it back to you. I am actually thinking of sending it back to Champion lighting for a refund.

Since the pump is brand new Steve can make better arrangements than that to avoid costing you anything. I'll relay the message.

I left a message on the machine for Steve with my phone #. Hopefully he gets back to me today. It has been quite a disappointing birthday so far.

Steve just called and will ship a new pump with a return for the broken pump. Thank you Tim and thank Steve again for me.

I got the new pump in the mail today...yes one day! It works flawlessly from the get go. It is creating a wave in the tank and will only get better when I get another one.
