MP40 Issue

I have been having intermittent problems with my MP40 (it flashes red/green, but wetside is fine) and have traced it to a loose connection in the plug on the end of the wetside cord. Basically, the blue wire is loose. I am the world's worst solderer, any suggestions on how to fix this? For now, I have just jammed a small ball of tinfoil into the back of the plug to hold the wire into the back of the pin. Not elegant, but effective.
