MP40 Keeps going into Pulse Mode

Like stated above. I set my pump to keep a constant flow. Led indicates this with Green light. Problem is hours later, or maybe even a day or two later the pump is pulsing even though the light is still green. Its done this a couple of times.. I unplug it let it sit then start it back up.. Well now Its just stuck in pulse mode. Even when I plug it back in it stays in pulse mode no mater what mode the light indicates. Am I missing something? Pump has only been used for a month.

This is by far the weirdest thing I've ever heard happen! Even though the pump is pulsing, can you control the speed? Does it do this at lower speeds as well? Is the pump actually pulsing between min and max speed or is it just cycling a bit?

It could be a damaged driver acting up. Do you have another pump that you can use to swap parts in order to determine which one is acting up?

No sorry I only have one. Yes you can still control the output with the controller. I used it for a couple of weeks turned way down.. Probably about 30% output. During this time it never went into pulse mode, But maybe once... I got my big tank up and running I installed the pump and set it to about 80-90% output. Once I did this it would start to pulse pretty quick. Few hours to the next day. After it did this a few times it seems to just be stuck in pulse mode. Flipping through the mode's doesn't' seem to change the flow at all.

Mine does that as well ... if I run it at absolute full power it surges a bit ... I back the speed down a bit and its fine

Went back and found the post:

When the light (blue in this case) should go going

Solid Blue Light (pause) Solid Blue Light (pause) Solid Blue Light

its actually more like

Solid Blue Light (pause) "Double Pump" of the Blue Light (pause) Solid Blue Light

I can take a vid tonite to demonstrate

At max speed the pump can surge a bit in some cases, this is not something to worry about and is related to the power supply and software of the pump. Typically it goes away after a few days to weeks.

Qball- When you say the pump is 'stuck in pulse mode' it would strike me that you therefore wouldn't be able to change speed. Am I understanding you correctly that perhaps you may mean the pump is 'surging?' If so, is it only doing this at full speed or is it doing this at all speeds. Per your statement above, flipping through the modes won't change the speed of the pump, you need to use the knob to control the speed.

LOL Ugh I was going to take a video so you could hear/see what I mean. But when I moved the controller down to the pump about the time I hit play it start working right..

I'll try to explain best I can.. Ok I set the pump to constant speed (Green Led) I set the output to around 80-90%. Pump works and pumps a steady stream of water.. Problem is hours later or the next day the pump isn't on a constant speed.. Its throttle up and down very quickly You can hear the pump doing it and you can feel and see the stream of water. its like someone Turning the speed of the pump up and down really fast. When this happens the LED is still showing a Green light. If I hit the mode button the LeD color changes but the pump still does the exact same pulsing. While its doing this you can turn the speed up and down via the little Knob.. It still works but the pump is pulsing its not a constant speed..So you can reduce the Max output put you can't get it to stop pulsing. Once it does this The only way to get it get it to do anything else is to unplug it let it sit and plug it back in.. Most of the time it works.. The other night when I posted it would not stop pulsing. Now though today when I went to take the video I unplugged it to move it and when I plugged it back in its working like it should. I guess if/when it starts doing it again I'll try to get a video of it.
