Mp40 or 2 wp25

I have a 135 with a reeflo super dart with 2 sea swirls on each end. I was looking to either install one mp40 in the center or 2 wp25? What do you think is better and why? Thanks in advance.

Of the choices you posted, I'd go with the wp25's for sure. More flow, and more control over where it's aimed.

I agree with Marvin that the wp40 can be used in place of the MP40 and obviously the price difference is a big factor. However, being that i have a wp25, i think in your 135 2 wp25s would be better than one single wp40. A little more versatility with 2 pumps rather than 1. Then again, youd have 2 wires and 2 controllers instead of one, so it would be up to you.

I have a wp25 I can bring over for you to see how it would work if interested.

Reason I said the wp40. I saw a similar tank this weekend and that's all he ran. In fact he uses one wp40 over two tunzes.

For sure I'm interested. Call me when you want to pass by. Thanks

Does the wp40 have the same width of flow as the mp40? Just have a tunze and it strong but kicks up all the sand in the tank.

Two WP40s with DC power voltage adjuster to fine tune the speed of the pumps.

6 foot tank may need more flow than 25s can supply if sps dominant. But many here have the 25s, im sure they can chime in on tank your size.

Its a 18" depth tank, so the water flow width should be good on all the pumps mentioned

My .02

I think I'm going with the wp25's or maybe with the new wp40's as they have a new controller that adjust the speed of the pump in all modes.

I just bought (2) WP40s for my 72BF off a group buy on another forum. Why? First, I may like to upgrade in the future and the price difference between Wp25 and WP40 was only like $3 per unit. They were less than $60 each. Worst case i turn them down and get more life out of them. Should have them in a few weeks. Will let you know how it goes. Very excited.
