Mp40 or Mp 60

Hello all. I have a 6 foot long 180 gallon tank that is all zoas and soft corals. I currently have a Mp40 and I'm looking for to get another pump for the other side. Would an MP 60 be to much flow for the corals or does it sound good to you all? I want to eventually get a few tangs in my tank so that's why I want all the flow but I don't want to blow away the corals. Thanks all!

Sincerely?

Tunze Turbelle Stream 6105 controllable.

Cheaper and much, much, much better!
By the way, I would replace your current Mp40 as well.
No comparison.

The noise doesn't really bother me I just like all the different features and the reliability of my MP 40. Koralias keep breaking on me so it's time for a change.

So far it hasn't been a noise problem for me they just suddenly stop working. I try cleaning them and still no luck but I guess you get what you pay for

Every time you ask for tips and decisions seems like you want to hear what you already want. That's it. LOL!! :D

If you want another Mp40 just go ahead and get another one then.

Please read your answers and think... You have decided that you want the Mp40 because of the features.

I'm helping you to decide:
Get another Mp40. LOL!!

Yup. Burnet through a few koralias. The clicking propellers drove me nuts

I've got Koralias too. The old ones were a little better, but not really good.
The new Koralias are kinda junk.

Tunze power heads are the best investment for the reef tanks IMO. Quality material, efficiency and very silent, as you noticed.

There is nothing like mp40s or even mp60s just turn it down. The flow it outputs can't be beat. You get what you pay for.

Oh yeah... If you need that much power, no doubt.
Then I have to get out of here with my Tunze PHs. LOL!!
That would be ~7500GPH against ~4800GPH.

But you have to keep in mind that you'll get a straight flow with the Mp60s and can't change that.

I had 2 mp40s in my 125gal. and changed for Tunzes because of the weird noises and failures/heat, besides the straight flow. You just can't compare the silence and 180°+ rotation of the Tunzes. No problems with them all this time.

By the way, I've changed all my power heads to Tunzes after that.
I don't miss my Mp40s and I'm glad I sold them.
