Mp40 vs. Tunze

So, I'm redoing my 65 and need to replace my old mp40. After about almost 3 years the wet side needs to be replace. I'm debating between the mp40qd and a tunze. Tunze's never seem to have any issues.

Opinions?

Thanks everyone!

You can buy a new wet side for about $50, the dry side and controller should still be good. I have an 8-10 year old mp40 that still runs so they last but it has gone through a few wet sides. I like tunze more and more for new purchases because of the directional versatility that mp40's don't have.

Black Friday is coming up soon and some of the sponsors have great deals on Tunze 6095 and 6055's. What are the dimensions of your tank?

I have used both and I prefer Tunze. Now granted I used the original vortex's and they have come a long way with improvements I'm sure but I was not real happy with them. Too many issues with noise, wet side falling of the glass, constant cleaning to keep operating, replacing wet sides ect. Tunze was an instant plug and play. In fact I still have some of the original units and that's from 10 years ago. Although they are more noticeable in the display my goal is for people to notice the inhabitants instead of the equipment!!
