Do mp40's have to be opposite of each other in a 90 gallon? I have one on the side and am thinking about buying another. I do not have room on the opposite side of the tank as the dry side of the pump is too big as the tank is too close to the wall on that side. Would it matter if I installed one on the back of the tank and one on the side or would that not work right?

NO...will work fine in various positions...are they MP40w, or ES models?

I wouldn't do that on a 90.

I see no problem with using the 2, (especially ES)... but to prove the 'nay sayers' wrong...check with Eco Tech for their recommendation
