MP40QD upgrade woes

So my MP40QD upgrade parts arrived today! Sadly, I can't get them to work. I upgraded two MP40es pumps, and I get two different behaviors. Both of the drivers power on, but don't work properly with either wet side--neither the old ones or the new ones.

One seems to be in normal operation (i.e., in the right modes, flashing the right colors, etc.) but has significant trouble getting the wet side going, blinking green/red/white for a while until it actually gets the wetside going. Once spining, though, it always runs IN REVERSE (i.e., it is blowing water out the side of the wet side, not the front)! The other driver only blinks green and and spins slowly (i.e., the battery backup mode) despite being under full power--indeed, it doesn't have a battery backup connected, although it reports to EcoSmart Live that it is indeed "Battery Powered'.

Both show up in EcoSmart and take programming (although I cannot confirm the battery-backup one actually does, since it never leaves that mode).

I tried adjusting the spacer on the dry sides to allow the drivers to better run the wetsides (I notice that the new dry sides do not have spacers) but to no avail.

Big bummer...

Just as an update, Ecotech service has been responsive as always. We've diagnosed the issue with the blinking green driver: power supply. It's now working great--and really is silent!

Still working on the backwards spinning one, though...

So the one that spun backwards is a dry side I've had since 2007--i.e., an original MP40 (before the WWDs, even). Turns out they don't work with the new drivers. Ecotech was awesome enough to swap me for a newer dry side, gratis, and all is back to normal with both pumps.

Both are definitely quieter and seemingly a bit more powerful, too.
