MP40W Error?

Hey Guys,

Had my MP40W for about 3 days now. Running on Reef Crest (Yellow) at about 80%.

Got home from work and there is a soild red light.

Have no idea what this is. Have disconncet pump and checked pins. All good.

Any help would be great thanks.

It wil start normally if the power is disconnected for 5mins or more.

Runs from anywhere from 30sec to about 2mins. On any speed or setting.

I think perhaps the the pump was calibrated for the auto-shutoff error while it was still attached to the tank. To correct this, perform the following steps while the pump is on the aquarium:

1) hold mode to enter the pump into feed mode, the pump will blink white.

2) hold mode and set to enter into calibration mode. The pump will blink white and yellow.

3) unplug the pump and plug it back in.

Let me know if this works.

Thanks Tim,

Got the White Yellow blinking. Unplugged for couple of seconds, then setup constant speed (green). Last about 30 sec on lowest speed. Then solid red light.

When you pull the wet side from the tank does it spin freely or is something impeding it? You may need a wet side rebuild. At this point your best bet is to send the pump in to us where we can repair it under warranty and correct your problem. Please fill out this form with your pump and contact us at service@ecotechmarine.com with your address so that we can send you a shipping label:

Thanks Tim,

I am in Australia, so i think I have to contact Icecap?

Wetside and Dry move freely. I will contact the shop I bought it from and see about getting it fixed.

Thanks

Thanks Tim,

Have sent it back to the supplier, awaiting new unit.

After I tried the calibration mode, the pump would not start again. Wouldnt even go through the start up sequence, striaght to soild red light.
