Does this model work well with 3/4" acrylic or am I pushing the limit with it since that is the max thickness? Don want to spend the money if this configuration is marginal.
I recently moved an mp-40w to a 3/4 inch acrylic tank. While the wet side stays put, the dry side is not. The thin rubber disc stays, but the motor slides down on it a 1/4 inch or so causing a drive misalignment. Any ideas?
The MP40 will work on 3/4 inch acrylic but the key is that the dry side must be securely mounted. The weight of the motor will make it fall off if the cable is not strapped down.
