MP40W gen2, is it just a new code?

say i was to purchase an mp40w, not gen2? what is the difference? just the firmware?

The firmware is different allowing more features with the Generation 2 unit. Also the Generation 2 has a new and improved magnet, screw, nut and frame cover.

how much does it cost to replace all of that if i send it in?

If the pump was purchased after May 23rd then with proof of purchase your only cost will be the shipping to our service center. We will then install the upgraded magnet, re-flash your driver and re-send it to you. If the pump is used or purchased before 5/23 then the total cost would be shipping both ways plus the magnet kit which is $9.45. The Gen2 flash upgrade itself is free, you only need to pay shipping.
