MP40w - Wet side won't turn

So I bought a couple used MP40w's today. One fired up and works fine, the other not so much. This is probably user error.

So when I plug in the unit (dry side) you can hear it turning inside the housing & running fine. (for short intervals, low speed, trying to set the mode).

Then when I actually install it, and it attaches to the wet side, it clicks 1 time and it is like it can't spin the wet side. So then it flashes green and red. I changed wet sides and it does the same thing, so its not the wet side.

Am I doing something wrong?
It seems almost like the magnet is so strong it is pulling it against the plastic housing and getting stuck.

thanks

My 105 has 1/2" glass and both pumps came from a 120 with 1/2 glass. So I didn't even check. I guess I can start there.

Got everything installed and it is an issue with one of the wet sides. I have 2 other MP40W pumps, so I put the wet side on one of them & it did the same thing. It spins for a minute then flies off or stops all together.

It seems like the magnet on the wet side is too big. It sounds like it is rubbing against the plastic case then that throws its balance off. It either stops all together or flies off.
