OK so have 2 of these arrive today any idea how to place them? having the half round the only place i can is on the back wall. so my question is where is best closer to the glass or in the middle and what mode would be best suited for my tank i only have a few sps at the moment tank is only a year old but doing well.

I have somewhat similar tank (mine is a 68 gallon half moon).

I've always found mounted on the back centered between the side of the glass and the overflow worked. Mine is about 4-5" from the waterline.

I run in reefcrest with the second pump running in sync.

The tank itself is hard to predict flow since there is no flat surfaces. The flow tends to follow the curve of the tank so dead spots tend to form at the back of the tank (why I keep the pumps lower in the tank to suck water from the bottom more.

yeah I'm finding the back corners by the glass to be the only dead spots. I've moved them closer to the centre, maybe this will stop the sand been blasted from the front of the glass. thx for your input. curved tanks look great but any lighting or water movement rules seem to go out the window..
