MP60 with fairy wrasse

I have a lot of fairy wrasse in my 120 gallon with 2 MP40s and sometimes when I feed they get briefly stuck to the pump but are able to pull themselves off almost immediately. I'm upgrading to a 250 gallon with 2 MP60s and I'm afraid the suction will be to strong for them to pull them self's off of if they chase food that the pump sucks ups. Has anyone had this problem? Should I be concerned?

Just to add on, a healthy fish should never have an issue with staying away from the pumps propeller. The foam guards definitely work if you're concerned, but be sure to keep them clean. Additionally, the pump does have a Feed Mode which greatly reduces the flow during feeding time; try it out! :)

Thanks for that last post you reminded me EcoTech needs to add a Feed Mode to the VorTech Modes in ESL. That way I could program my Vortechs to go into feed mode the same time my auto feeder feeds my tank.

Akrite....something that may help you. I have my MP60s automatically set to a very low output, maybe 10% during the time that my auto feeder is set to feed. This may help protect your wrasses. If you need an example of some code, I can post that later or send me a PM.

Yea I think I will do that, thanks.
