Art (knillifer) will be hosting this months meeting at his house. He will have it on Sunday, May 17th, at 2pm.

As an added bonus for this month, we have two raffle items.
AIRWATERICE has donated their Mighty Mite RO Unit

&
Current-USA has donated a FISSION Recirculating Skimmer, rated for up to 225 gallons model #8105

We will be raffling these off just as we did at the swap. Art said he also had a few good sized frags left and would be sold for around $15/each.

pm him for directions. Hope to see ya'll there :)

If you haven't been to Art's, he's got one of the nicest tanks I've seen. The colors pop from the tank like they do from an oversaturated picture:). We've also got some extra Favia frags from the fraggin demonstration ($15 per frag) and some acro frags from the demonstration. We'll give out several of the acro frags as door prizes. These are 2-3" in most cases.

Art lives a little ways out (Slapout), but it's worth the drive. He's about 15 minutes from Eastern and 231. Hope to see you all out there.

Bill and I are coming. We have been wanting to get to Art's house for a while, but there is always something going on that keeps us from going. But with the meeting being there this month we are going to make it!!!!

We have two awesome products to raffle off, hope some more people can come!!

not to forget about the awesome deal on favias and the acros :)

I'll be there and I hope to bring our slackin sergeant at arms;). I'm hoping to get Tony out there, too. He's been hearing a lot about Art's tank lately;). He's the proud owner of that chunk of slimer from the swap.

As an added bonus if you want to call it that, Brad from Louisiana will be coming up to purchase some of my big colonies for his 300 Gallon Tank. He was at our frag swap with his friend next to my table in the corner. It will be nice to have some extra hands that day to dig these colonies out of my tank.

See you guys soon and PM me for directions to my house.

I think I can make it. I was trying to schedule a Floriday family trip before the memorial day rate boost but it doesn't look like it will happen. :(

I wonder if Brad could bring some sun coral from Jon if he has any... Looking for a nice piece of each and didn't pull the trigger fast enough at the coral market.

Gary, I can call and ask but he is taking the back way to Atlanta for the weekend and then driving back through Montgomery on Sunday. I dont think that he could drop it off on Friday.

I'm there...heard a lot of great things about Art's tank (and bought a nice ASM G-3 from him at the swap.) I"m looking forward to it.

How is the skimmer performing?

I'm kind of back in action... First time at the computer since Wednesday (using a phone to check forums takes for ever and crosses the eyes...).

I've also been receiving some additional items from sponsors that are going to be gret for club giveaways during the monthly meetings. Another larger item we can add to the raffle Jullie has mentioned is a Marineland canister filter. I got that and several other things from Aquarium Systems/Tetra over the last week or so. We'll have a grab box of things to give away as door prizes at meetings, as well as the larger raffle items mention above. For all new members, we'll give away one of the sparkly pink and green favia frags or a piece of the purple with blue tipped acro as additional incentive to join (while they last, but we have 5-7 of each, easily).

With more of us present, it'll be easier to hold Art down and leave with wet pockets:D.

Thats funny, looking forward to Sunday. My wife and I have some nice delicious snacks/meals ready for all of you. You may not leave with wet pockets but you will definitely not leave on an empty stomach.

I just wanted to quickly say Thank You to all that came to the meeting. Sorry it got a little crazy near the end there with ripping my display apart. I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves, and it was nice meeting all the new faces.

Thanks again,

Art

I had a blast. Thanks to Art and Shannon for hosting yesterday. The Buffalo Chicken dip was awesome (never had that before). I love breaking things apart (unless it's mine-there I'll procrastinate for months or years in the case of the tank room;)). With those nine massive colonies gone, you've got a new set up:). But with only 1.5 years worth of growth on those from frags, it'll be back in six months, I bet.

awesome tank Art!

in case you couldn't come, here is Art (knillifer) and his tank room (err...dining room :) )

more to come later......

Thanks Art for letting us invade your home!!!!!! Your tank was awesome. Hope we can have 1/2 the success that you had. Good luck on the rebuild. We are still considering your Tunze system. Do you have the photo cell that goes with it?
