MTC procal question

Had a few questions. First those of you who have them are you running a seperate feed pump? I see some say to run them to increase pressure in the reactor for better mixing of the CO2, some just use the syphoon but I dont think I am getting any syproning into my pump.

Also in the first reactor I am getting a huge amount of air bubbles on top of the diffuser plate, is this normal? Personally it sounds like I am sucking air from somwhere but the pressure gauge says I have 5psi in the reactor.

The bubbles are completely normal and the diffuser plate is one of the reasons. I have been using my pro-cal for over a year now and had an issue with loosing pressure. I took the blue line(feed) and put it into my overflow box and it has been working like a charm. In regards top the pressure gauge on top of your unit. That gauge is meerly an indicator on when and if the unit is clogging.
