What is everyones experience or knowledge with multiple carpet anemones in a single tank? 200gal and larger. Any problems? Any special equipment or dosing requirements?
The trick is to make sure both are healthy / free of bacteria and parasites. There are many stories on this forum of people with one or more healthy anemones that all perished once an addition was made. In particular I'm thinking of a few with giganteas.
So it's a risk, but not inherently a bad thing to have multiple anemones.
I agree about getting healthy anemones. I have an gig, a hadoni and a ritteri all in the same tank and thriving. I wouldnt even think of putting in another one because Id be afraid to introduce something. Which has happened to me in the past. Had a perfectly healthy anemone and then added another one and they both died.
