any thoughts about combining Meiacanthus atrodorsalis and Meiacanthus grammistes in a 75. i know your not supposed to put fang blennys together but these two species differ greatly in appearance i was wondering if anyone foresee's this being an issue. jkust curious, i was thinking about getting one or the other and it got me thinking.

I had a trio of Meiacanthus grammistes from DD in a 75 g for a few months until their aggression for each other resulted in "carpet surfing." They were always aggressive to each other. I personally would not try to mix in a tank that size.

I had two different species in a 110g for a while. They didn't like each other.

I've got a Meiacanthus grammistes in a 120 litre tank with a two spot blenny. Not a fang blenny i'll admit but very similar. I must say that the fang blenny is probably the most peaceful and laid back fish i have ever had.

yea it was just a thought, id rather have a stress free tank. ill avoid it. im planning on adding a candy hogfish so i might skip the fang blennys. i had a canary in my old 75gl and it bit my royal granma. the results of which i dont remember.

While mine didn't like each other, neither ever bothered any other fish, or were bothered themselves by any other fish.
