Multiple pistol shrimps?

Has anyone had success(or warfare) with housing more than one pistol shrimp and gobie in the same system? I've heard they can be fine only if they dont encounter each other.

I have 2 tiger pistols that are on opposite ends of the tank from one another and a Pink spotted goby that goes between them since he killed my orangspotted goby.

Depends on the species of shrimp and fish.

I kept 5 Alpheus Randalli (two pairs and a hermit) with a each pair of S. nematodes and S. yasha in a 75g for 2+ years (before having to tear down).

I have a randalli and a ochrostriatus and they share a extensive tunnel system which spans the entire sandbed. Only have one nematodes goby at the moment who is back and forth between the shrimp. They keep apart and I've never seen them together but they seem to get along ok.

Hi,

I have 2 Stonogobiops nematodes mated with apair of Alpheus randalli. They are doin fine in a 20 gallon tank.
One of the randallis wears black eggs all the time. the nematodes breed each 4 to 5 weeks. No problem......

I have a pair of Syngnathus dactyliophorus in the same tank. Everyone seems to love each other.

Bye Erik

PS.: IÃ"šÃ‚´m posting from Germany, so excuse my rubbish english.:bum:

My Symbiot pair is a Orangespot Goby and a Tiger Pistol. If I wanted to add a new pistol to the tank, how should I go about this since these are a estblished pair, both tank time and relationship wise(8months, never seperated)?

Hmm, that sounds like russian roulette to me. What if you got two male or two females harassing each other?
You could try to buy some more animals to see who naturally mates together, and give the others back to your dealer.
Of course, he will be delighted....

Bye Erik

Is it just a pistol on its own or with another goby? If it's only the pistol you should be fine, if its with a goby its more risky but since you have a 75 they should be able to avoid each other, just make sure they are of similar size.
