Multiple Trigger?

I currently have a Picasso in my 5' 110g tank...

Is it ok to add another trigger like a black hawaiian, niger, or blue throat ?

Will they fight with each other ?

You never really know..........all fish are different with different personalities.

I had a Picasso, Clown, and Niger together in my 150 FOWLR...........they got along fine with no fighting at all.

If you want another trigger the best way to reduce the chances of them fighting is to add a trigger of a different genus. Since the picasso is a Rhinecanthus Any of the 3 you listed would be a good choice, they are all some of the least aggressive. a pinktail would also be a good choice. Their probly the least aggressive. Just make sure you dont get one too small that it will be bullied. Idk how big your picasso is

I have a picasso and niger in my 135 with no problems. I just added them a week apart and as close as I could to the same size. Been about a month or two with no probems so far. o

The larger the tank the less likely they wil be aggressive towards each other.I keep 5 medium to large triggers in a 360 gallon and I only notice aggression when feeding

I have kept quit a few different types. Oddly the only one I had issues fighting with other Triggers was my Sargassum, fought incessantly with my Niger, and the female Crosshatch. No guarantees with Triggers, but in general, different genus do fine together. I probably shouldn't have mixed Sargassum and Crosshatch, but couldn't resist, I'm almost certain my Sargassum was female, thus fought with female Hatch, and never with the male.

same here...have multiple trigs in my 250 and 125...most will be going into the new tank together...really depends on the trigger...they always surprise...barring an undy the most crazy trig I have had in 30 years was a small halfmoon, Sufflamen chrysopterum, that fish was possessed...

triggers are just picky all together. i fish and the gray triggers found up here school together like baitfish! can be caught by the dozens. they sometimes fair the same in aquariums. you just have to judge once you acquire it

I had a 125 for a year before upgrading to the 600 and had three triggers in there without any fuss. All three were blind to each other like they weren't even in the same tank. Of course this is fish dependant and different genus.

When they were in the 125g (size)
5" pink tail, 3.5" Bluejaw, 2" clown.

Still the same in the 600g (size)
7" pink tail, 4" blueJaw, 4' clown (still no fighting, bickering, etc. Everyone mind their own business.

The reason I wouldn't go with the hawian trigger is they just have to much energy, I think he would be to cramped in your tank. Mine is in a 210g & he's only 7-8in long..... he seems cramped..... new home almost done...

zero attitude.... complete whimp
