Mushroom control?

So, I recently had a bunch of mushroom popup and has already completely killed two of my sps colonies. And damaged another to the point I have to frag it. I tried ripping them out but those suckers are slippery. They are mainly on three or four large rocks, two of which I may be able to remove if it comes down to it. The third and fourth are supporting a lot of rocks above it so its going to have to stay. I also tried injecting them with kalk, which seems to be working ok. Is there a better way of getting rid of them?

I had a similar occurance. I used kalkpaste and lemon juice.

Get a sharp wood chisel, and chisel out a skin of rock underneath the mushroom. Sell at next frag swap.

Fiji/Tonga LR is pretty easy to do this with; if you used lava rock or base rock it will take some muscle and leverage.

YOu can remove them with a scalpel as well. Put them in a little critter keeper with some crushed coral for a week, then glue to LR, and sell as frags, or to a LFS.
