Mushroom Coral ID

Hi All,

Does anyone know what type of mushroom coral this is? It seems to be growing larger but not splitting or dropping babies. I think it also stings other corals and it is a good 5-6inch diameter.

It could be an elephant ear, which can get quite large. It is also deadly to fish that 'perch' on surfaces. Its reaction is to close up, and the unfortunate fish smothers to death. Not much you can do to save it except to cut the shroom vertically with a razor and hope to miss the violently thrashing fish. The shroom will probably heal. Should this be an elephant ear, which I am not sure of.
