Mushroom coral splitting or dying?

Hello everyone, just thought I'd share these pics of my mushroom coral splitting and hopefully not dying! Can anyone shed some light as to what is happening? This is my first mushroom coral and haven't heard or seen anything like it. Thanks in advance!

Looks like it's splitting
When there dieing they get like white and mushy.
