Mushroom eating flatworms?

Is there such a thing? I saw some spots on a one of my rics recently and then yesterday I had a patch of Discosoma shrooms suddenly melt. Now I see those same spots on many of the Discosoma's in the tank. I am pretty sure they are flat worms.

The flatworms would almost be a godsend (assuming they eat Discosoma) as the mushrooms are a lingering plague from buying used rocks and they spread like wildfire during the early days of the tank.

Problem is that I am going on vacation on Thursday for 10 days and if these mushrooms all melt, or worse the RBTA or Sebae follow them, then the tank will be in jeopardy and I will be thousands of miles away.

So are their mushroom eating flatworms?... and do they each LPS and Anemones?

I had them on a hairy mushroom. I dipped it several times and also used a "turkey baster" to loosen any remaining flatworms. I was lucky in that the mushroom effected was on a small enough rock that I could treat it in a bucket out of the DT.

PS. I don't know what else they would eat, perhaps someone else with more experience can help on that part of your question.

i think they just nibble on whatever they can get their little mouths on.
algae. "dirt," mushrooms, my frogspawn.
I don't think they eat them per se but suck on them and irritate the corals
i don't believe they are discriminate.
all i can say is get rid of them asap or you'll end up like me with a resident population
