unhappy mushroom leather. i got a mushroom leather the other day and its been acting kinda of funny, and i just want to put me fear to rest and make shure its nothing like the LFS guy said. well what happened is i got a nice looking mushroom leather from my LFS, it had been there for a week or so, it didnt look to good when it came in but it had pretty much healed up, and was opening extening its polyps fully at the LFS. so when i took it home and drip acclimated it was fine it slowly opened and fully extened its polyps, so i gave it some food. because my LFS hardly ever feeds the corals. since then it has been opening less every day and giving off more slime and all the micro bubbles in my tank attach to the slime. i thought it might be getting stung form the fogspawn beside it, so i moved it to the other side of my tank. still not open
not even looking like it wants to open, just more slime. hes turned so the mushroom stem and cap is 90 degrees from the light so it mostly shades its self. so just to recap:
day 1: fine n dandy
day2: ok, not opening as much or as fully and starting to give off a little slime at the end of the day (decided to move across tank)
day3: looked kind of glossy to start, not opening and so slimy bubbles get stuck to it
is there anything else i can do, or is this normal?
i dont test my water, but i just started using ro/di, but the coral is new so i thought that shouldent matter. my sg is 1.026 and my temp is 80-78 all day/night
