Mushroom leather

Hi, my leather coral is looking a tad strange, one side has all curled up and a lot of the polyps are not extending. Nothing has changed in the tank, all other corals are open and seemingly doing well. Have attached a before and after pic.

Leathers are kind of like anemones, they have a mind of their own and they don't react the way most other corals do. I have a toadstool leather that wouldn't put out polyps for 2 weeks. No apparent reason. Don't over react, but asking questions when you have them is a good thing.

It's possible your blenny took a rest there and the coral may take a while to open again. Like Ron said, I have a couple of different leathers and sometimes they just don't open fro a few days. Other times it is because they are shedding, kind of a self cleaning process, to get rid of surface dirt and algae I think. I also find if I change my water current leathers can sulk for a bit too.
