so i have a 29 gal with 2 96 watt pc bulbs over my tank, when i was at the lfs and bought my mushroom rocks they where large and spread out, but now i my tank they seem to be half the size, all my parameters are good, no ammonia, nitrite, and my nitrate is at 10 mg/l, i dose calcium, and rarely a little microvert, is there something else i need to dose to help these guys enlarge to where they where at the fls

mushrooms are funny, They'll perk up in a day or two. Not real easy to kill them. I wish I could kill off some of mine, LOL. They'll be fine on their own. Might wanna place them in the bottom if they're not already though.

well one rock i have had for a few weeks and they have enlarged alittle, but they dont seem to be as big, maybe its just me, but i dont really need to feed them anything, they are not rics or anything one rock is red, and the other is a marble.

two 96w bulbs are more then enough for mushrooms! I keep two 65w bulbs (50/50 and a dual actinic bulb) in my tank and they grow crazy. they often bud off or leave babies behind them after moving around.

reason why they might not be as big is because your supplying them with more light then they usually get, which is always good! don't worry about it. in the long run u will want them smaller so u can fit more stuff in like zoos!!! :)

Watch your alkalinity: s/b about 8.3-9 and stable. THey don't like wildly fluctuating alk.
