mushroom reproduction?

i've noticed one of my shrooms what seems to be splitting? its like its moving and leaving a little peice of its foot behind. Is this how they reproduce/split?

Yes that's how they reproduce. You can also cut them in half yourself and you'll have 2 mushrooms.

it split off twice, well one of the little pieces is finally detached and another one is comming along. this thing is takin off now!
