hi all,

recently purchased two rocks of mushrooms,

one looks blue when small, the other had distinct blue/green stripes.. (at night)

however when the lights are on, they expand and grow huge..
but their BLUE colour fades into brownish RED!! why is this so??

i would really love them to remain blue..

they are under 1 T8 actinic light, and 1 40W super light.

advice is much appreciated, thanks! i'm still pretty new..

when they are small, the tissue of the mushroom is close together thus producing a very strong color, when it expands, the tissue thins and thus making a color that is not as vibrant.

Exactly my "blue mushrooms" are turquoise when small but purple when fully blown!
